Our programme removes content or subject matter, and focuses only on the thinking functions of the brain (the mental operations), and takes a strategic and comprehensive approach so no key areas get missed out and the levels of competence remain challenging but gradual.
By being CONTENT-FREE the thinking mechanisms are made more explicit and visible so children can see how they can improve, (i.e. which gears to shift)
Children grasp the operational mechanisms of their own thinking styles, habits, patterns and behaviours, putting them in command of areas that require further attention.
By becoming self-aware prompts even the gifted learners to find areas to modify and improve.
Out of such examination children consciously adopt new thinking habits and behaviours, which are, not only more effective and useful, but they have learnt why and how they are effective.

With so much reliance on apps and programmes to do our thinking for us children can becomes susceptible to "lazy brain syndrome". Children can form a belief that thinking is out there in the computers and hence lose their own internal locus of control, their internal drive, their internal mastery.
We would like to make children appreciate that the best APP is the one under their CAP. We would like them to CODE that APP first and foremost.
Thinking skills training is all about coding the child's thinking functions at an improved level. You would not want to let your child's thinking go into sleep mode, after all the brain is just like a computer. (it computes thinking and intelligence but lack of activity can send it into a dormant mode)
Of noteworthy also is that we find children remain motivated to build on their own skills bank of thinking, in the same manner that a child remains motivated to complete driving or swimming or other physical skills. Children begin to see the brain as a physical muscle, affected by their thinking functions. They understand that the brain grows or strengthens neural networks to make it better and also they understand that they are in command of their own growth.
